Foolie $urfin and longtime collaborator Jus Lovehall are back at it again with some new fire. The two stayed down in the studio all year perfecting their craft and molding their sound as they prepared it for the world. This resulted in Foolie $urfin’s solo album All of Me, a Kenny Beats co-sign, and to cap off the year, a collab album titled Stay Safe.

If you’ve heard All of Me, then you’ve heard the magnificent sounds that manifest when the two work on a record together. Being a prerequisite to their album Stay Safe, “Jimmy” is a great introduction to their overall sound and poetic soundscape. Fast-forward to December 20th, and the power duo may have just released your favorite album of the year. Using wonderful displays of soul, baselines full of funk, and versatile flows, it is safe to say that this is more than just a body of art, but a living organism that grows with time. Ever evolving to your mood, this album can be played through the day and into the night with an ever so seamless transition.

This project is important. Blending modern jazz with hip-hop, Foolie $urfin and Jus Lovehall are pioneering a new sound of rap, and I could see no better match to be at the forefront then these two. This album is a must-listen.
