Remember the good old days when we did absolutely nothing? Chillin’ outdoors, sippin’ on some lemonade, and bumpin’ to Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours.” Well, look no further because Asian-American singer-songwriter, Joey Howard’s song “Racing Through My Mind” brings that fuzzy feeling back in a fresh light. “Racing Through My Mind” is simple and sweet, but brings just the right amount of that sticky neo-soul guitar playing and mellow harmonies that keep you groovin’. There’s something about his smooth, soft voice that keeps you feeling all sorts of happy.

According to an interview with Hourglass Sessions, it’s no surprise that Joey is inspired by some of our favorite groundbreaking artists including Tom Misch, Bruno Major, D’Angelo, and John Mayer. And with his most recent catchy release, “Shoelaces” there’s no doubt we’ll be locked in up until he releases his EP. It’s evident Joey is coming into 2021 with full force, and a steady growth of now over 5,000 listeners on Spotify are there for the ride.
