Prism Tribe is an Alternative Hip-Hop collective consisting of four main members Jimmy Luna, Ash Sekito, JesusOnTheRocks, and SckSolo. Supporting characters include Sandisz, Casey, Erik, and Gordo who in Jimmy’s words stated that they are “The backbone. Whenever we need help with something.” The group debuted with their project PTWW$$EW, Vol. 1 which was released back in 2018. Since then they have released solo-artist records under the Prism Tribe YouTube account to showcase each individuals talents. Now they are back as a group and set to release their album Dog Days on August 28th.

Just within the past week the group has dropped a teaser ????, along with singles “Clones” and “Riverside” which are accompanied by unique, standout music videos.

Directed by Jimmy Luna this teaser is beautifully done. It features Jimmy in a dog fit, while Jesus holds Jimmy at gunpoint with a branch from a tree. I’m really excited to see the entirety of this video if it drops. Regardless, I’ll be bumping this record on repeat once the album drops.

Shot in Los Angeles. The Ben Escobar directed music video is one of my favorite videos of 2020. It features some of the most creative shots I have seen. From Jimmy getting buried alive to shots on the PJ, I believe this video accurately depicts what Prism Tribe is all about.

Finally, “Clones” directed by Jimmy showcases his multi-faceted skill set as not only a rapper, but as a creative. You just have to watch it for yourself as it takes you on a journey through the eyes of Prism Tribe.

I’m extremely excited for the future for these guys. They have so much potential. While often times artists will be strong in one field whether it be the music or the videos, Prism doesn’t lack as they come with the heat in their visuals, music, lyrics, and creative direction.

Be on the lookout for Dog Days on August 28th!
