Sally Boy Drops New Single "Just Friends Now"
Pennsylvania native, Sally Boy, just released his newest single “Just Friends Now” to end his colossal 2020.
Since the last time we talked about Sally Boy, he only had three songs out. Just four months later, Sally Boy has his debut album EREZ on all DSPs and has found placements on playlists like New Music Friday and All New Indie.
Since the release of his album, we have been blessed with what seems to be his final drop of the year. “Just Friends Now” is a lighthearted anthem blending an acoustic sound with a soft pop melody, creating an angelic soundscape.
Although the song is based around a saddening metaphor, Sally Boy clears up the air by stating, “’Just Friends Now’ isn’t as much a breakup song as it is an acceptance speech – an understanding that no matter how bad you may fuck up, someone is always there to one up you. Feeling lonely during the holiday season is okay cause at least you can find solace in the mistakes you never made.”
