Revving up with syrupy sweet guitar notes, I knew “a song to make out to.” would be a hit within the first twenty five seconds.  LA born and raised artist, Stevie Matthews, is creating a world just right for the illustrious sound produced from his young mind.

In this debut single featuring actress and singer, Olivia Holt, “a song to make out to.” Matthew continues to display his multi-instrumental / producer talents.  The track, anchored in Matthew’s conversational guitar, is joined by Holt’s silvery tones and a steadily paced drum beat.

You can just tell the production on this was curated by someone who has actually recorded in the recording booth.  Alluring and sensual, the lyrics sing of meeting up with someone without the intention of entertaining any small talk. At this hour, you know where this is going.

In the last thirty seconds we are treated to a glimpse of  Matthew’s guitar front and centre. It is magical to hear on first listen, and the several times following.  Stepping out from behind the label of “ghost producer”, this single sets him up for what I think will be a colourful solo career under his name in bright lights.
