Electronic Producer Zonashi Ends 2-Year Musical Hiatus with “Advanced Circuitry”

Native to SoundCloud’s future beats scene, LA-based experimental producer Zonashi returns to music 2 years later with “Advanced Circuitry.” The release of “Advanced Circuitry” will not only end Zonashi’s musical hiatus but also inaugurate the launch of Loveshock: a genre-defying label highlighting underground artists across the pop and electronic scene. Serving as a plethora of firsts, this track also teases Zonashi’s upcoming EP Catastrophe Theory

Zonashi’s experimental sound draws from his roots in the SoundCloud producer community. With an ear for glitchy synths, choppy drums, and unorthodox rhythms, Zonashi develops his own unique and exciting sound design. Listeners can expect sophisticated layering, deep 808s, and constant ebbs and flow in every Zonashi track, and “Advanced Circuitry” is no different.

The track opens with a pulsing ambiance layered atop fading sirens, creating dystopian, otherworldly imagery. Quick bass drums lead into the initial drop of animatronic, high-pitched synths and various effects and dynamics. “Advanced Circuitry” has a hypnotic effect, keeping listeners engaged and hungry for more. With a theatrical outro, the track ends on a perfectly eerie note as the song diffuses into sirens and then finally, silence.

I cycle through a multitude of emotions while listening to this track. The anticipation of the beginning gets my heart pumping as the drop leads me into a world of glitchy electronic sounds. I find myself fighting the urge to bounce around manically as I bang my head to the deep bass and powerful drums. The end brings the single to a full circle conclusion, leaving me wanting more and/or wanting to hit repeat. An experimental masterpiece, Zonashi returns to music stronger than ever.

Keep an eye on Zonashi as his highly anticipated EP Catastrophe Theory inches closer to the drop date as well as Loveshock as they continue to drop new music from underground stars.
