Tap In With The Soulful Chicago Artist HXRY!

It's always great when the SoundCloud algorithm works to your advantage, especially when it leads you to an artist such as HXRY (pronounced as “Harry”). Although I don't know much about him and his journey, what I do know is that his music is in a lane of its own and homie is a BEAST with them beats. Multi-oriented as a producer, singer/songwriter, and rapper from the Windy City, what can’t this Chicago native do.
The first EP that the Cloud put me onto was a project called PIECE OF MIND. Although it was released on Spotify in January of 2020, the date of release is truly irrelevant for the reason that this EP is simply timeless. Although it's a rather short EP (clocking in at around 19 minutes) HXRY manages to create every track with a unique vibe of its own, taking you on a short but therapeutically sweet journey leaving listeners with a “PIECE OF (His) MIND”. The production is RnB influenced and very sultry, HXRY displaying his knack for incorporating different synth sounds that aren't too overpowering. This provided opportunity and room for the tracks to breathe with melodies that'll stay stuck in your head for days. The songs are all extremely well written, some notable favorites being “INSECURE”, “HOLD ON” and “ALASKAN THUNDERFUCK.”
If you're interested in hopping on the HXRY train make sure you check out his SoundCloud to bump not only his latest baby making banger “Rock Yo Bed”, but to check out his rapping skills on songs such as “DUMMY” and “STOOPID.” It's a polar opposite from most of his RnB tracks (reminiscent of early Tyler/Wolf Haley days) but he has a way of complimenting his beats seamlessly, with a natural way of flowing over his beats like a true rap veteran. Having listened to HXRY for a little over a year now and I can truly say there has not been a single lackluster song to be found. Definitely an artist to be on the lookout for, exciting to see what's next in store for HXRY and his music!
