So much amazing music has been recently released, and I want to take a second to highlight a few of my favorite tracks. Here’s a blend of songs, ranging from trap to laid-back R&B, with something for everyone to enjoy this summer!

C Stunna, “Feel Myself”

I’ve been recommending Stunna’s music for a minute, but “Feel Myself” is a certified summer classic. If you’re trying to feel yourself this summer, this is your anthem. C Stunna’s signature South Florida flow over dynamic tropical-inspired beats keeps the vibes high on every song. The single is quick, and has replay value. It’s a little tune for the playlist to  put on outside! It wouldn’t be a Stunna track without some wit, his lyricism is not to be played with, and a ton of witty remarks might pass you by.

A.R. The Mermaid, “Sneaky Link”

One of my new favorite up-and-comers, A.R. The Mermaid, dropped “Sneaky Link,” and I knew it had to make this list. Her defining Memphis sound is addictive, I love the music coming out of this city right now. The title speaks to the lyrics as A.R. recounts the relationship she has with her “Sneaky Link.” Featuring a lot of funny relatable bars like, “Post me in the close friends knowing that I got a b*tch,” the track is lighthearted and laced with notable quotables for your summer sneaky linking.

Ben Reilly, “Let The Sample Work”

Ben Reilly’s first track since “Freelance: Charlie” is exactly what we need for the good days to come. “Let The Sample Work” features some impeccable wordplay and a non-stop flow over an infectious beat. Ben Reilly absolutely goes in on the first minute or so of the track with back-to-back verses leading us into the hook, “Shut up b*tch! Let that sample work!” You have to move to this track, instantly bopping your head and ready to sing the hook back. The song is, in true Ben Reilly fashion, all things dynamic, purposeful, and captivating.

Sam Recks, “Done For The Week”

Sam Recks recently dropped his debut EP, Easier Said Than Done. I have recommend the whole tape, but this track is a personal favorite. For a more laid-back vibe, tune into “Done For The Week”. This song feels like a Friday on the way home from work, quite literally when you’re done for the week. It’s mellow and makes you want to  get outside and relax, enjoy the nice weather, and have the perfect summer day. Sam Recks is a true talent in the U.K. hip-hop scene. I truly recommend his entire catalog.

Chase Shakur, “x’s and o’s

Another chill tune that’s arrived in time for Summer is Chase Shakur’s “x’s and o’s.” This one’s for the R&B lovers, bringing us a sultry slow tune over a steady beat. The production is spacey taking you to another world, paired with Chase Shakur's lyricism and voice perfectly. The song transports you to an R&B realm, giving us a tune for the end of the day, something to relax with after the sun has set.

hyejin and hevel, “DAVID LEE”

Hyejin has been working tirelessly to craft her own little universe of elegant Korean R&B. Having recently reached millions of streams on her single “SABOTAGE,” it’s evident that she’s doing a good job. Providing us with the toxic-girl summer love anthem we need, “DAVID LEE” was created in collaboration with K-R&B artist hevel. The two make a flawless pair, putting this track on a whole new level with their combined talents. Hyejin’s production is always ethereal and, paired with these two astounding voices, truly needs to be  in rotation for your summer.
