Speaking on my behalf, social distancing during this quarantine has definitely allowed me to reflect on the past and appreciate where are I am now in one of the craziest times in this lifetime. For many artists, the release of music during these past couples of weeks has been an outlet to acknowledge the past including Toronto’s very own Chris LaRocca on his newest single “In My Ends”.

Produced by Chris and his best friend Hrag, Engineered by Chris Creglia, Mixed by Matty Green, and Mastered by Joe LaPorta, “In My Ends” was a big collaboration for the Woodbridge native as there are many emotions tied to the song. LaRocca stated on Instagram that;

“I was in a weird place when I wrote this song, a place that I do not align with now, but I feel like it led to a very special and important product for me as an artist.”

“Although I look at this song more as an ode to how low and insecure I was, I just wanna make y’all feel good and give u something to dance about.”

“In My Ends” was a perfect composition, consisting of emotions and joy. From the lyrics to the overall production, the song fits the perfect mold of expressing the appreciation of what LaRocca has experienced while fitting the criteria of an uplifting song similar to artists such as Chance The Rapper in “Coloring Book” and Armani White’s “Onederful”.

This song was needed during this pandemic, and I highly suggest others to give it a listen. Personally, it’s really brought hope and confidence to overcoming one of the craziest events in the decade and excitement for the future after all of this is over. Although it may take time to adjust to our regular lives, I’ll be listening to “In My Ends” during my quarantine.
