The Altadena garage band, Los Yesterdays, are back with a soulful offering for their newest single “Nobody’s Clown.” The single features a playful piano and amazing vocals that leave the listener feeling as if they were in a 70s diner just after a tough breakup. Showing influences of blues, soul, and r&b, “Nobodys Clown” showcases the groups diverse sound while boosting their emotional output.

The band is composed of four members. Originally starting in a garage located in Altadena, Gabriel Rowland teamed up with longtime friend Victor Benavides to create a soulful project but wasn’t until years later when they connected with Tom Brenneck and Gabe Roth to complete the Los Yesterdays. With this song being a follow up to their single “Tell Me I’m Dreaming,” it’s only right that they came with an even blues-ier song as they grow into their true sound.

To be releasing music like this in an era that is so saturated with rap is quite brave – a breath of fresh air as well. Listening to Los Yesterdays brings a sense of nostalgia that you didn’t know you needed until you got it. Go make sure to spin their records today to make the best out of your weekend.
