Lou Val Slows it Down with "Cruel Silence" and "Eternal Sunshine"

The city of Toronto has many strong points with music being high up on that list. We’ve seen artists of all genres come from the hub and are always left in pure amazement with their work. This time around, its only right that the spotlight gets put on one of Soulection’s newest members, Lou Val – a singer/songwriter that has managed to capture all emotion within his records.

With a limited internet presence, Lou Val has managed to skip the popularity contest that comes with the artistry and focuses on curating the ultimate vibe. In doing so, Val has accrued over 200-thousand monthly listeners while only releasing where he sees fit. Fortunately, that time was last month, and Lou Val gifted us with two fresh singles, titled “Eternal Sunshine,” and “Cruel Silence.” Both resembling planetary systems within the Milky Way, Val has built up an outer-worldly experience and describes it as “two different dreams in the same reality”. By doing this, Val has unlocked portals to opposites sides of the same realm.

Although he refers to it as “different dreams”, they share multiple similarities with the most important being how enjoyable each record is. Where they differ is in tempo and sound design. “Cruel Silence” has a faster rhythm that fits the traditional indie sound while “Eternal Sunshine” is much slower and sparks the thought of slow dancing with the love of your life for the last song of the night.

If you disagree with how I think the songs should be played, I’m sure we can find some middle ground in knowing that these records are fire in their own respective ways. Lou Val understood the assignment and delivered some fresh vibes.

If there is anything you do today that is of any importance, it will be listening to these new singles from the one-and-only, Lou Val.
