Candy-coated popstar RYL0 returns with “RYL0VE Song,” a track dedicated to not only a love interest, but also her supporters. The title is a tribute to her RYL0VEs, the artist’s dedicated and growing fanbase. “RYL0VE Song” arrives as RYL0 begins to roll out a deluxe version of her most recent mixtape, Last Resort.

Beginning with haunting, stacked vocals, “RYL0VE Song” quickly transitions into upbeat pop-tronica. Whimsical claps underscore her sugary, syrupy vocals as she delivers delicious melodies, prodding her audience: “Do you like my stuff?/ Everything I do, got all these songs for you.” RYL0 places love at the center of the track, enveloping her feelings over a fun, dancy beat.

“RYL0VE Song” is paired with the equally romantic Valentine’s Day release, “OO! AH!”

Rife with futuristic electronica “OO! AH!” was produced by Purity Ring’s Corin Rodrick, adding in his familiar forward-looking sound. The romantic, airy track features a lowkey drill beat under RYL0’s swoon of “My Love like a song and it sounds like….” “OO! AH” then swerves into a burst of vocaloid, trippy, glitchy noise on the chorus, following a whimsical cry of “Can’t get enough of you.”

You’re my number one angel/Like a mixtape framed, yeah/Cause I’ll never play you” she sings, referencing Brit-popper Charli XCX’s Number One Angel album. The nod to XCX comes at no suprise. In a previous interview with Sparky, RYL0 explained Charli’s immense influence on her work: “Charli XCX was my first reference point, as she typically is across all of my projects.”

“OO! AH!” and “RYL0 Song” mark an exciting start to the upcoming deluxe version of Last Resort as RYL0 continues to earn the title of her full moniker, POPSTAR RYL0.
