Meet Rowena Fysx, A Toronto Artist On A Path For No “3rr0r”

From time and time again, I enjoy taking a pause from the music around the world. I’m sure many can relate, but music back home generally hits different than most. Taking it back to the roots, it was time to find some new Toronto artists who are blossoming back home. Fortunate for myself, social media is another form of word of mouth, where working alongside a particular person can lead to the discovery of your next favorite artist.

A close companion to Dylan Sinclair (one of the hottest talents out of Toronto), Rowena Fysx has the vocal qualities of a goddess, enrapturing all of our emotions and gratification into gentle free form particles. Considering Fysx publicly never released music under her moniker, the skilled singer has been overlooked as a quality talent in the city and she plans to change that. Debuting her newest project 3rr0r in early July, the Alt - R&B singer displays flashes of greatness, delivering a sound body of work that will lift your soul into a tranquil state of mind.

If you enjoy the likes of Daniel Caesar and Amy Winehouse, Rowena Fysx is the artist for you. Her raw vocals and elegant melodies have similar reminiscent to the early career of a young Daniel Caesar, incorporating gospel like influences into her musical compositions.

Delivering a masterful five track project in 3rr0r, the young artist has a polished sound and vision awaiting satisfaction. Fysx’s ear for polarizing musical structure come hand in hand with her sincere lyricism, strengthening the articulated sounds and facets that she calls music. Rowena’s lead single “Idfk” is one of many prime examples where the Toronto native uses instruments and structuring to her advantage, delivering a widespread of passion and emotions to the listener. Other notable tracks are “Onion” and “3rr0r”, both my personal favorites when it comes to her delivery in expressive production and soulful melodies.

Rowena Fysx is a star in the making, another phenomenal female artist making a presence in the Toronto scene. Envisioning her career to take flight similar to the likes of Charlotte Day Wilson, or Syd, the Toronto native will make a movement in the music industry soon enough.
