As $olid as They Come

$olidThaHustla has been creating waves around Los Angeles for a few years now, and his most recent single has really grabbed my attention. $olid has lived up to his name, as he really is on his hustle. Whether creating his own label and clothing brand or having his own party bus company, $olid shows that he wants success more than anything. His latest single, “Realest N***a I Met”, is one of $olid’s best tracks to date, and displays his growth as a recording artist.

He first caught my attention at a live performance a few years back when I saw how impressive his stage presence was. I began following his career from there, and $olid continued to level up when he collaborated with Blueface just a year later. $olid’s biggest influence as an artist is Chief Keef; which can definitely be heard on this track. Normally, $olid does not use too much autotune on his vocals, but he does on this song, and he executes it extremely well. The way that $olid floats on this beat is reminiscent of an old Speaker Knockerz track.

$olid continues to prove himself to be one of the more consistent rappers that Los Angeles has to offer through his many music videos and social media presence. His Finesse Season label has found success navigating their way through the Los Angeles rap scene and continue to thrive in the chaos. Working from his own personal studio, $olid has created an impressive catalog of songs that only seem to grow and improve. The music video to his new track, “Realest N***a I Met” is directed by @Kaii.Shoots, and you can follow $olid on Instagram
