Chicago rap has been having a legendary run in the past decade and has no plan on slowing down in the near future. From starting some of the hottest trends to being the breeding ground for the next top rapper, Chicago never fails to amaze me. Pioneers of the scene are names like Chief Keef and Fredo Santana that paved the way for newer artists like Calboy and Lil Eazzyy.

Knowing all this, the question is: who has next out of Chicago? Along comes Khado, a low-key rapper out of Chicago with a full album to his name, making a promising case for next up.

Often times with music, your local neighborhoods start bumping your music before it goes viral and that is the case with Khado. A few of his songs including Truth

Big Kash

Get Sitchy Intro

are starting to gain serious traction in the heart of Chicago.

The icing on the cake is his newest release, Whistle, just dropped this month and was accompanied with a visual from Yuck Dev. The two have worked together in the past on some of the aforementioned songs, proving to be a power duo like Jordan and Pippen. Alongside the visual, the single itself demonstrates Khado’s wittiness through his catchy chorus and clever bars. We have seen this on all of his other songs, but it is becoming apparent that Khado is starting to really apply the pressure as he progresses through 2020 with Whistle being his fastest growing single yet. The two-minute single is quick to grab your attention and slow to let go, leaving you wanting more.

Khado killed this track and I cannot wait to see more from him.
