Philly based artist NxG has recently released his new project Equilibrium, featuring production ranging from Nick Mira to iamsynthetic. Going off the steam of his lead singles “Mismatch” and “Next Up” featuring Iyaze, fans are blessed with 7 more tracks that undoubtedly show off NxG’s improvement from past projects. After listening, it’s clear Equilibrium is his best work to date.

While his music is reaching a larger audience as each day passes, NxG continuously strives to maintain balance in his life. Equilibrium is an expression of his daily struggles while simultaneously manifesting the upward progression of his musical career. When asked about what this project means to him, he told us that “Equilibrium is about finding balance. I wanted to document how things were going for me after Outta Here Soon - the positives and the negatives. And on top of that, I wanted to demonstrate how I’ve grown as an artist. I think Equilibrium does a great job of all of those things.”

The project starts off with a bang with the lead track “Fell in Luv $$” setting the tone of the project as a whole with high energy, melodic beats that allows NxG’s vocals to really shine throughout. We also have a slower vibe with songs like “Yeah Yeah” and “Not The Same” that creates a nice contrast while still highlighting his top tier penmanship.

The rollout for this project doesn’t stop at the 9 tracks, we can also expect a few music videos to go with the project. While we already have music videos for “Mismatch” and “Next Up”, we also have a new video for 524 (The Stacking Cup Game) directed by the talented Nick Welch. We can’t wait to see what NxG has up his sleeve in the future. Take a listen to this project below!
