The kids of tomorrow wants everyone to listen to papichuloteej’s, new single “Stockton'' as he takes you on a journey of trust, rage, and look into his future. Featuring production from Arizona band fearofmakingout, Teej ensemble’s everyone together to create a hard hitting track that shows only the start of Teej’s versatility. Hailing from Las Vegas, Teej has garnered himself a plethora of attention in their local scene, one could call him a local legend at this point of his early career. Paired with visuals directed by Dylan Budnieski, a talented director from Arizona who is a part of the video production group Overcast, the duo of Teej and Dylan perfectly captures the feelings that are given out from the single.

Originally finding out about Teej through the Overcast team and their previous work together on previous single “Boyfriend”, I was curious to what he was holding in his vault throughout 2021. At already 100k+ monthly listeners on Spotify, without a major project out to date, that’s something to look at as a big upside within his artistry. The video for “Stockton” captures Teej and his group of misfit friends skating in a parking lot paired with scenes of him talking to an unknown character in a payphone booth. While the song is great on its own, the visuals adding to the feel of the single makes the emotion of the song hit ten times harder.

Teej’s ability to blend the indie and pop punk sound is something many artists try to emulate but the feeling isn’t always there on the surface. Teej is able to capture that feeling and shows that it’s not just a phase that he’s trying to fall in line with. When it comes from the soul it’ll be undeniably up. Like Teej states in “Stockton“Once it’s up it’s forever”.
