Australian hip-hop has recently been on the come up with artists like The Kid Laroi and Manu Crooks. As the R&B and indie-alternative vibes have led these artists to sky rocket into having successful music careers that no one could’ve ever predicted, the younger generation is right behind them with full force and tenacity.

Taj Ralph is a Sydney based songwriter who isn’t leaving the buzz anytime soon. His new release called “Just Fine” is out for the world and boy does it flow. Starting with what sounds like a kid chant, Taj comes in with rhythmic flow that immediately catches the listeners attention. As the song intertwines an A1 production quality with an electronic beat, the confidence is evident in his lyrics as he repeats the phrase “F*** that, and everything will be just fine. But everything goes so fast, so why do you have to close your eyes.”

Oftentimes, there is this groundhog day phenomenon with new indie artists, being that there are so many with such similar songs. The buzz is there and then it’s gone. But Taj Ralph is different. His youthfulness is something that is used to his advantage. His words are effortless and his musicality is obvious. The natural sense of knowing is emoted throughout the entirety of his new release, and the Australian R&B scene and beyond better be ready to hear more.

Just Fine” is a single that leads the listener into a trance of electronic ambiguity and grace. To continue following Taj’s musical makings, follow his Instagram and Twitter at @tajralph.
